Tailoring bundles to your market

Most pre- and post-paid bundles have, until recently, had three fundamental components – voice, messaging and data. While for many MVNOs that remains true, increasingly, specialists are shifting focus, to perhaps sell only data, or to deliver a larger package of minutes with costs optimised towards certain destinations. Others still are choosing to include access to specific products, services or applications in their offers, for example by providing free-rated social media packages, like free WhatsApp or Facebook, or including discounted access to premium content channels and portals.

All of which means that bundles are becoming increasingly complicated. As a result, MVNOs, whose businesses are based on a deep understanding of their target market, must work harder to ensure that they can deliver something that matches the expectations of their customer groups. It requires rich knowledge of their wants and needs and the ability to fine-tune a bundle to match them.

This is a fundamental element of Mobile Cloud. At Digitalk, we recognise that MVNOs have to differentiate their offers and to continue doing so. This means that they may need to manage multiple bundles and to tweak and tune those they have, as well as to introduce brand new ones to meet new requirements. It means that they need to consider partnerships with other providers, for example, content providers such as Spotify and Deezer, that can augment and add value to bundles, enriching them through time and providing either full access to a service or using freemium offers to build loyalty and an audience.

It’s not easy, quite apart from the market intelligence required, there are business relationships to forge, but for users of Mobile Cloud, the mechanics of creating, crafting and curating evolving bundles couldn’t be simpler.

Of course, for some the classic, three-dimensional offer remains crucial – some consumers value simplicity and a back-to-basics approach, but others are more demanding and, as your competitors will evolve, so you must be able to evolve too. You must be able to respond to changes in the market and to new entrants who threaten your position.

Mobile Cloud has been optimised for this task and gives you not only the ability to build relationships with relevant content partners but also provides access to a world of carriers. So, if you want to include promotional minutes to, for example, Nigeria, that’s all possible at the same time as providing premium access to a relevant audio streaming service.

Tailoring bundles to your market requires constant attention to detail, long-term planning as well as the ability to quickly and easily make changes. Get in touch and find out how you can stay ahead and create the most suitable bundles for your customers.
