Teledome Selects DIGITALK for Pre and Postpaid and SIP platform
Teledome, the only alterna tive Greek Carrier that offers its customers access to services by using a dialling prefix (1755) or through carrier pre selection, has announced its choice of DIGITALK's Consumer Platform to replace an existing legacy system and expand the capacity of its leased line connections. (E1.)
DIGITALK's platform provides an excellent interface which enables even non-technical user's to administer and operate the system. DIGITALK's integration of legacy TDM architecture with VoIP has meant that what began as a simple prepaid platform now has the potential to be used as a VAS platform for its subscriber (V.5 LLU) network.
The DIGITALK platform has proven so reliable and robust, Teledome is now expanding the use of DIGITALK's platform to replace its postpaid calling services and to use SIP trunking for voice traffic.
Dimitris Roussos Teledome's Voice Switching Network & N.O.C. Manager, Teledome says, "We are glad DIGITALK is moving toward an IP-based platform, while also integrating VoIP capability into the existing TDM platform. We are looking forward to using the SIP protocol as a signalling method to interconnect with our existing Softswitch to enrich our network with value added services like Unified Messaging and Voice Mail."
Teledome's customers are largely made up of prepaid calling card distributors, which makes DIGITALK's Consumer Platform the perfect choice for its carrier pre selection customers using it as a companion service via 2-stage dialling.
Justin Norris, CEO of DIGITALK commented, "DIGITALK has been focused on delivering an integrated VoIP and TDM MSP that allows our customers to achieve both operational cost savings and to deploy next generation services. Teledome's choice to extend the use of DIGITALK's MSP is testament to the scalability and flexibility of our system and will help take them to the next stage of their service development."
