MediaRing hones competitive edge with DIGITALK Multiservice Platform
DIGITALK today announces the expansion of MediaRing's DIGITALK supplied network, with additional Consumer Platform nodes being deployed in the Middle East.
MediaRing, a world leading VoIP Service Provider, plans to use the DIGITALK platform to offer a range of services to other Carriers and retail customers. Up to now, MediaRing has primarily used the DIGITALK platform for wholesale services. However, due to the strength of its embedded applications, plans for retail services, which are hosted using the platform and delivered using local partners, are underway.
Danny Lai, Director of Network Operations for MediaRing commented, "We chose DIGITALK because it has a strong global presence and a track record of complex SS7 and VoIP network architecture deployments. The DIGITALK platform has a strong set of applications that are ideal for our local partners to deploy to both residential and business customers."
MediaRing will be using the DIGITALK platform to support a range of new services in the future, as they launch new VoIP services to compliment their existing portfolio of services.

Even though the nodes are across multiple locations, the MediaRing network is managed by a single DIGITALK network and service management software suite and as a result, can take advantage of the real-time centralised billing and rating capabilities of the DIGITALK platform. Using the embedded management capabilities of the DIGITALK MSP allows MediaRing to take advantage of the reduced operational overheads that having a single management point delivers.
