G9 deploys Mass Calling Services using the DIGITALK Multiservice Platform

DIGITALK today announces the successful implementation of a Mass Calling service, with customer G9, the innovative alternative operator in Portugal which offer s services to both residential and business customers, using the DIGITALK platform.

The G9 service, which leverages the flexibility of the DIGITALK platform bespoke programming language 'STUDIO', uses a combination of Premium Rate and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) menus to offer a phone-based interactive gaming service.

Leandro Fernandes, Technical Director, G9, commented, "We consider the DIGITALK relationship to be a partnership. The DIGITALK platform has enabled us to launch multiple services quickly to meet the changing demands of both the market and of our customers. The assistance that DIGITALK has provided us in the development of a number of services has helped make G9 the successful company that it is today."

G9 and DIGITALK have also developed a number portability service to meet the regulatory requirements of the Portuguese Telecommunications regulator.

DIGITALK's STUDIO enables a full range of TDM and VoIP services from a single network infrastructure allowing users to deploy multiple services from one central point.

G9, which offers services to both residential and business customers, has been using the DIGITALK platform for the deployment of voice services for a number of years. The flexibility of the DIGITALK platform has also enabled G9 to follow a strategy of indirect selling for residential services by enabling secure access to systems by authorised distributors, vastly improving both market reach and return on investment.

G9, which has a interconnect arrangements with a number of Service Provider s including Telecom Portugal, offers a range of voice services including Carrier Pre-select, postpaid/ prepaid services with number portability, wholesale and Unified Messaging services.
