Web Calling Card
The Web Calling Card enables Service Providers to offer customers the ability to make prepaid calls over the Internet, without the need to subscribe to a VoIP or Call-Back service, and offers an opportunity to deliver a range of additional features which improve customer loyalty and increase revenues.
The DIGITALK Web Calling Card is a turnkey and service-ready feature of the Calling Card product, and is designed to be deployed as either a traditional Calling Card solution, or within a call shop environment.
Access to the service is provided by an integrated Web Phone Server and all rating is completed by the DIGITALK Consumer Platform using the DIGITALK Media Application Server .
As with a traditional Calling Card service, a consumer purchases a Calling Card from a retail outlet, but rather than using traditional telephones to make calls, they can use any PC that has a broadband con nection, such as an Internet Cafe or WiFi Hotspot. The advantage of this approach is that calls are at potentially much lower call charges, because the A-Leg of the call is bypassed.
Web Calling Card offers a number of additional subscriber features to traditional Calling Cards including the ability to view remaining balance online, view recent calls and one-click redial.
Micropayment API
The newly introduced Micropayment API feature enables payment for additional services to an existing pre or postpaid account on the DIGITALK platform. Micropayment API offers to Service Providers the ability to package a range of applications together to both increase subscriber loyalty and increase ARPU (average revenue per user). Using this system, subscribers can use a convenient single account for various additional services, including ring tone or music downloads, and online gaming and gambling, and can access their account details using the DIGITALK web services interface.
The Micropayment API features offers a completely secure SOAP login, and features full transaction control and encryption, and includes transaction reference and additional free text field Audit trail logging.
