DIGITALK announces the next generation of Broadband Telephony
DIGITALK, a provider of service delivery platforms, today announces the launch of the next generation of its Broadband Telephony solution. This new release includes a range of new features that enables Service Providers to launch both innovative new VoIP services, as part of a completely turnkey solution, and to add new f eatures to its existing subscriber accounts, including both residential and business customers.
The inclusion of enhanced charging features, such as bundled usage, sign-up and recurring fees makes it possible for service providers to create charging packages for specific sectors of the market. This includes both prepaid options, which are of particular interest to subscribers who wish to limit usage, and calling packages that relate to specific calling destinations that are targeted at specific demographic groups. The inclusion of subscription based charging enables Service Providers to not only support lower calling rates for their subscribers, but also helps recover the costs of bundled equipment such as ADSL routers or SIP phones.
DIGITALK introduces a 'multi-line' function which will allow subscribers of a service using DIGITALK's Consumer Platform, access to a number of phone numbers from a single account; a key feature to SoHo and small business applications.
Mark Ashdown, Sales and Marketing Director, DIGITALK says, "Broadband Telephony is such an important development in today's telecom market - we have seen such an uptake in the initial release of our broadband telephony product, that the second release has been largely developed based on customer feedback. DIGITALK's enhanced capabilities have been built around the requirement from Service Providers to offer more options to its customers."
In addition, DIGITALK has enabled a single sign-up for multiple services, which allows subscribers the ability to use both TDM and VoIP services from a single Service Provider; all from a single account.
