Justin Norris - Managing Director

Justin Norris is a co-founder of DIGITALK, and he continues to oversee the evolution of DIGITALK and its applications and services through his vision of telecommunications in the 21st Century.

An industry leader, Justin has been at the forefront of the introduction of new technologies, and was heavily involved in the early developments and introduction of CTI (Computer-Telephony Integration) technology. It was Justin’s vision of next generation intelligent switching platforms, based on open standards, that was the catalyst for the birth of DIGITALK.

With a strong software engineering background, Justin contributes to both engineering and technology at DIGITALK, but his principal focus remains on business strategy.

Justin holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science from Manchester University.

Mark Ashdown - Sales and Marketing Director

Mark Ashdown has multi-discipline skills in all aspects of IT and Telecoms, having lead several Telecoms departments from both a technical and commercial perspective.

Mark has been with DIGITALK since 2002, and is responsible for all Sales and Marketing operations globally.

Mark has worked in the Telecoms, IT and Technology sectors for over 15 years and has significant experience in both large and small organisations in both technical and commercial roles. Starting his career in software development for billing systems, Mark then moved to become one of the first members of one of the UK’s earliest alternative service providers First Telecom, where he held the position of Operations Manager, following which he was the Technical Director of both Alpha Telecom and Next Call.

Having spent time successfully working in these new alternative operators in the high technology sector, Mark was then involved in a commercial partnership which successfully offered CRM and billing software solutions to Telecommunications service providers of all sizes throughout Europe.

Immediately prior to joining DIGITALK, Mark was the VP of Business Development for Workshare technologies

Mark is a graduate in Politics having received a Bachelor's Degree at Sheffield University and a Master's Degree in Information Technology at Aston University.

Andrew Smith - Services Director

Andrew Smith is responsible for all services and support for all DIGITALK’s customers globally, and has been with DIGITALK since 2002.

Andrew has been involved within customer support roles for over 12 years in a variety of companies including Workplace Technologies, ICL and the alternative telecommunications Service Provider, NTL. Within the NTL Business Division Andrew was responsible for the support of managed customer services and networks across both voice and data technologies, with a large team of both office and field based engineers, across the whole of the UK.

Andrew holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Huddersfield University, an MBA from Cranfield and is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Engineers and the Institute of Directors.

Mark Dawes - Finance Director

Mark Dawes is responsible for finance and administration at DIGITALK, and has been with the company since 2002.

Mark has been in commercial finance roles throughout his career, having joined ICL as a graduate and held a number of roles including Sales Financial Controller for the Mainframe/Sever division, dealing with various high profile Customers such as EDS and the MOD. Following this, Mark spent several years in international financial and commercial management positions at both 3Com and Cosine Communications, where he was International Finance Director.

Mark holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Nottingham Trent University and qualified as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants in 1993.
