Session Border Controller
The foundation for carrier interconnect success
The foundation of our Carrier Platform is the VoIP Peering Session Border Controller (SBC), a high availability, high performance and high capacity server supporting SIP, SIP-T and H.323 signaling.
With its signalling inter-working and dynamic transcoding capabilities, DIGITALK’s VoIP Peering SBC enables service providers to integrate flexibly with new customers and suppliers to maximise both revenue opportunities and margins.
Carrier interoperability
With a wide variety of VoIP carriers and wholesale service providers in the market, each running distinct switches and gateways, service providers need to be able to adapt to a variety of signalling and media options. The signalling inter-working and media transcoding capabilities of the DIGITALK Session Border Controller enable service providers to support a wide variety of carrier interconnects.Signalling inter-working
- Signalling protocol inter-working (SIP, SIP-T and H.323)
- Flexible SIP header manipulation
- Carrier tech prefix insertion / removal
- Configurable called and calling party address manipulation
- Retry call attempts based on configurable failure reason
Media transcoding
- Dynamic, scalable audio codec transcoding, including:
- G.711, G.723, G.726, G.728, G.729, GSM, iLBC
- DTMF interworking (RFC2833, Inband and SIP INFO)
- Video and fax relay (H.261, H.263, H.264 and T.38)
